An established and rapidly growing engineering and project delivery firm is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer or Structural Engineering Manager to oversee structural design efforts and lead a high-performing engineering team. This is a senior leadership opportunity supporting complex industrial and manufacturing facility projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in both technical execution and team leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform structural analysis and design for industrial buildings and steel structures using software such as RISA and STAAD
- Develop technical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Lead and mentor the structural/civil engineering team, overseeing project deliverables, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control
- Review and approve general arrangement drawings, shop drawings, and engineering reports
- Conduct site visits to evaluate structural conditions for both new and existing facilities
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and fabricators to ensure alignment on project requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, industry regulations, and engineering standards
- Support client relationships and contribute to successful project execution
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience, with strong background in industrial and steel design
- Significant field experience related to building and structural systems
- Prior experience leading or managing a structural engineering team
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and client expectations
- Proficiency in RISA, STAAD, Civil 3D, and preparation/review of structural drawings
- Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, and building design codes
