Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead WordPress Developer with strong UI/UX expertise and project management capabilities to drive the development of scalable, high-performance, and conversion-focused web experiences. This role blends technical leadership, design thinking, and execution excellence to deliver impactful digital platforms.
You will lead WordPress initiatives end-to-end, working closely with design, marketing, and cross functional teams to ensure seamless, user-centric experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Own end-to-end project delivery—planning, scoping, prioritization, timelines, and stakeholder communication
- Translate UI/UX designs, wireframes, and prototypes into high-quality, responsive interfaces
- Partner with design teams to enhance usability, interaction design, and user journeys
- Ensure performance, accessibility (WCAG), SEO, AEO, GEO, LLMO and Core Web Vitals compliance
- Drive design system consistency and frontend best practices
- Manage multiple projects, identify risks, and ensure on-time delivery
- Conduct code reviews, enforce standards, and mentor junior developers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, SEO, AEO, GEO, LLMO and content teams for campaign execution
- Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and marketing automation platforms
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in WordPress development, with 2–3+ years in a lead role
- Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern frontend practices
- Proven experience building custom WordPress themes (without heavy reliance on page builders)
- Deep understanding of UI/UX principles, usability, and interaction design
- Hands-on experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Strong knowledge of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimization
- Familiarity with SEO, AEO, GEO, LLMO best practices, and Core Web Vitals
- Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong project management skills—planning, prioritization, and execution
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Good to Have
- Experience with Headless WordPress (React / Next.js)
- Exposure to conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing
- Knowledge of analytics tools (GA4, Hotjar, etc.)
- Experience working on B2B or high-traffic marketing websites
