About the role..

This position is responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-wide learning, digital capability, and workforce development strategies that build organisational capability, support business transformation, and enable employees to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital and AI-driven environment.

The role ensures learning initiatives align with strategic business priorities, enhancing workforce capability, leadership effectiveness, digital literacy, and the adoption of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), across the Group.
 
Tasks and responsibilities..

  • Develop and implement learning and capability strategies, including leadership development, manager capability, core skills training, digital literacy, AI capability, and career pathways aligned to organisational priorities.
  • Lead the design and delivery of enterprise learning programs that support workforce capability, organisational performance, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Drive the adoption and effective use of digital learning solutions, AI-enabled learning tools, and innovative approaches to capability development.
  • Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to identify capability needs and provide strategic advice on learning, talent development, organisational effectiveness, and change initiatives.
  • Manage learning platforms, learning technologies, external vendors, and budgets to ensure effective delivery of both digital and face-to-face development programs.
  • Design and implement initiatives that support continuous learning, leadership development, mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and high-performance cultures.
  • Promote the responsible and effective use of AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, learning outcomes, and employee capability.
  • Monitor program effectiveness, ensure governance and compliance requirements are met, and drive continuous improvement through data, insights, feedback, and innovative learning practices.

Skills and Experience..

  • Proven experience leading Learning and Development, Capability, Organisational Development, or Workforce Development functions.
  • Previous people management experience.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, organisational development, capability frameworks, and learning technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing digital learning strategies and leveraging technology to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives and building workforce capability in new technologies and ways of working.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence applications within learning, capability development, workforce productivity, or organisational effectiveness.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into practical learning and capability initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering large-scale learning and development programs across diverse workforces.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, including administration of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning technologies.
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and facilitating successful training and development programs.
  • Experience designing, developing, and facilitating e-learning and blended learning solutions.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and insights to evaluate learning effectiveness and inform decision-making.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Education, Business, or a related field.
