Responsibilities- Running, monitoring and improving the Linux-based platforms underpinning our systems.
- Automating wherever possible – writing scripts, building tools, improving workflows.
- Supporting hypervisors, storage, and networking alongside the core Linux estate.
- Working with developers, support teams and business users to solve problems quickly and effectively.
- Contributing to infrastructure projects, from design to deployment.
- Following operational and regulatory guidelines to keep systems compliant and secure.
- Hybrid working policy with occasional weekend cover (approx. once a month, mostly on Saturdays).
Qualifications
- Solid scripting and automation experience (Bash, Python, Ansible, Puppet or similar).
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code principles.
- Good networking fundamentals (protocols, troubleshooting).
- Curiosity, problem‑solving mindset, and willingness to dig into systems.
- Clear communicator, comfortable in a fast‑moving environment.
- Good level of English.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker or Terraform.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Experience with log aggregation/visualisation (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Splunk, etc.).
- Interest in financial markets and electronic trading platforms.
