Linux / System Engineer OR Database Support Specialist - 2 Openings
Our client is a sizable company. Due to the rapid growth of the company, they are now looking for talented individuals to join the professional team.
Responsibilities:
Perform database administration and support tasks
Responsible for servers, operating system, and database administration (from installation, configuration, upgrade, performance tuning to troubleshooting)
Design and implement backup strategy, system disaster recovery, security, business continuity of the database systems
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline
At least one year's experience in Oracle or MSSQL or DB2 database administration or shell script
Technical experience in Unix/Linux is a plus
Support experience in database recovery methods will be an advantage BUT not essential
Applicants with Unix/ Linux experience only will also be considered for a Junior / Assistant DBA Role
