Courier (Full Time)
Location: Avenida Juarez No. 28, Centro, 60000 Uruapan, MIC, Mexico. Responsibilities
Provide courteous and efficient delivery, sorting, and pick‑up of packages. Ensure shipment of packages by completing all necessary paperwork and checking shipments for conformance to Fed Ex Express features of service. Accomplish accurate and timely pick‑up, selection, inspection, and delivery of assigned packages. Seek additional business from current customers and pass leads to Station Ops manager or Sales person. Inform Sales person and direct manager of changes in customer use or competitor actions. Check packages to ensure proper labeling, legality of content including weight and size, proper wrapping, insurance values, special requirements for hazardous material shipment, and compliance with customs documentation required at destination. Provide necessary paperwork relating to pick‑up and delivery, such as airway bills, delivery records, vehicle conditions, duties/taxes invoices with neatness and accuracy. Ensure proper security of Fed Ex Express and customer property such as cash, packages, equipment, and hazardous materials. Maintain personal safety and security at all times by following Fed Ex Safety policies and procedures. Operate vehicle safely and efficiently, complying with specific country regulations and corporate policies. Strive for improved productivity through constructive suggestions for better methods and procedures. Collect D/T invoices from delivered shipments that must be processed by Customs authorities (when necessary). Ensure customers have adequate supply of Fed Ex Express material for shipping. Maintain neat and clean appearance of self, uniform, and company‑assigned vehicle. Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent. 21 years old or over. Must possess appropriate driving license for the vehicle assigned in accordance with specific country regulations. Good driving record. Neat and clean cut appearance. Good verbal and writing communication skills, human relations, and team player. Ability to lift 70 lbs. (32 kg) and maneuver a single package weighing up to 150 lbs. (68 kg) with appropriate equipment. Must be able to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and Math sections of the Basic Skills Test. Customer-oriented with good organizational skills. Must be able to work variable shifts. Basic English skills preferred.
