Low Latency Java Developer - Front Office

We are seeking a senior, heavyweight software engineer to architect and build our global, ultra-low latency Synthetic and Cash Equities trading platforms. This is a high-impact, hands‑on development role within a lean front‑office technology squad where you will directly drive production delivery rather than post‑validation oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Delivery:
Design, build, and optimize high‑throughput, global low‑latency algorithmic execution systems.
Architecture & Strategy:
Drive technical decision‑making and shape the future‑state distributed architecture of the trading platform.
Front‑Office Collaboration:
Partner directly with trading, quantitative analysts, and product teams for rapid feature deployment.
Compliance & Risk:
Coordinate with regional risk and regulatory control teams to ensure platform compliance with financial guidelines.
Global Synchronization:
Participate in code reviews and architectural alignment with wider global engineering teams.
Required Technical Skills:
Professional Experience:
12–15 years of technical expertise within an investment banking setting or global markets division.
Domain Expertise:
Deep business logic capability in
Cash Equities, Cash Execution, and DeltaOne / Synthetic trading
(full trade lifecycle, locate, inventory management, and
FIX messaging ).
Core Java Mastery:
Expert‑level Java engineering skills (JVM optimization, garbage collection fine‑tuning, complex data structures, and non‑blocking IO).
High‑Performance Architecture:
Strong background in low‑latency systems development. Exposure to
GCP
cloud environments and
UI
development is a strong asset.
Agile & DevOps:
Strong understanding of modern CI/CD automation and agile software deployment practices.
Communication:
Flawless written and spoken English with the capability to interface smoothly with front‑office business stakeholders.
