Machine Operator

This role operates production machinery in a high-output manufacturing environment that supports a continuous 24/7 operation. Machine Operators ensure equipment runs efficiently and safely, perform routine maintenance, and help meet daily production targets while maintaining strict quality standards. The position follows a structured 12-hour Panama schedule on either day or night shift, providing predictable time off and built-in overtime opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience in environments such as assembly, machine operation, production, or related roles.
  • Hands-on experience working in a production or general manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for performing routine machine maintenance and adjustments.
  • Ability to use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product dimensions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality standards.
  • Capability to meet defined production efficiency targets and work at a steady, reliable pace.
  • Willingness and ability to work 12-hour shifts on a Panama (2-2-3) rotation schedule.
  • Comfort working in an industrial environment with nontemperature-controlled conditions.
  • Understanding and consistent application of safety procedures and PPE requirements.

This opportunity offers a clear path for growth and increased earnings based on performance and skill development. After a short initial period, employees have the potential to move into a direct role with progressive pay increases as they demonstrate the ability to run multiple machines. The Panama schedule provides predictable time off, including every other weekend and built-in 23 day breaks, making it easier to plan personal time and enjoy extended stretches off, especially during the summer. The structured environment, consistent hours, and built-in overtime support both stability and the opportunity to earn more while maintaining work-life balance.

The role is based in an industrial manufacturing facility that is not temperature controlled, so it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The plant is fairly clean for an industrial environment, but floors can be slippery due to oil produced by the machinery, which runs 24/7. Proper personal protective equipment is required to help manage walking conditions and ensure safety. Employees work 12-hour shifts on a Panama (2-2-3) rotation with four different crews, choosing either day shift (6:00 AM 6:00 PM) or night shift (6:00 PM 6:00 AM) and remaining on that shift without rotating between days and nights. A shift premium applies to second shift, and overtime is built into the schedule every other week.
