HIRING - MACHINE OPERATORS - DENVER, CO

The Forklift & Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating molding and one-step production machinery used to manufacture PET plastic containers, supporting downstream processes, and maintaining quality and efficiency across the production line. This role performs machine set-ups, changeovers, preventative maintenance, and material handling while following all established safety rules and guidelines.

Shift: 1st, 7:00AM-7:00PM, 2x2x3 schedule

(2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, etc.)

Job Description:

  • Machine Operation Operate and maintain molding and associated machinery to produce PET plastic containers according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Downstream Support Assist downstream production processes to ensure smooth product flow and consistent output.
  • Set-ups & Changeovers Perform process set-ups, changeovers, and basic preventative maintenance to meet production objectives.
  • Safety Compliance Follow all established safety rules and guidelines; identify and communicate hazards to prevent accidents and downtime.
  • PPE Usage Use all required personal protective equipment correctly and consistently.
  • Production Recording Maintain production objectives through proper machine operation and accurate recording of counts and related data.
  • Start-up/Shut-down Practice safe and proper machine start-up and shut-down procedures.
  • Training & Documentation Help develop work instructions and training programs for next-generation operators.
  • One-Step Machinery Operate laser dating systems, leak detection systems, and related equipment using written instructions and visual management tools.
  • Quality Inspection Conduct quality inspections using written and visual guidelines.
  • Forklift Operation Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move finished products, load/unload materials, and support warehouse flow.
  • Material Handling Safely load, unload, and stage materials for processing or shipment.
  • General Production Tasks Use hand tools and basic equipment for assembly, packaging, and production tasks.
  • RF Scanning Utilize RF scanners for inventory and material tracking.
  • Team Collaboration Work with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and improve processes.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Production Experience Experience in production or general manufacturing environments.
  • Machine Operation Proficiency with molding or similar production machinery.
  • Forklift Skills Demonstrated forklift experience, including loading/unloading trucks and moving materials.
  • Mechanical Aptitude Ability to learn and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
  • Assembly & Packaging Experience in assembly, packaging, or packing.

Work Environment

  • This role is based in a mid-sized PET plastic container production facility operating 12-hour shifts (7 AM7 PM) on a rotating 2x2x3 schedule.
  • New hires typically train for 12 months.
  • The environment includes molding machinery, one-step systems, laser dating equipment, leak detection systems, forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and standard hand tools.
  • Employees follow established safety procedures, use PPE, and work within a visually managed production environment with clear work instructions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
