Machine Operator
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Forest City, NC
$18 per hour, plus $1.50 shift diff
3rd Shift | 7:00 PM 7:00 AM Rotation: Working 2/2/3 schedule
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team in Forest City, NC. This position is responsible for performing machine operating, troubleshooting, and supporting production operations to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has a strong machine operating background, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery
- Perform quality inspections on finished products
- Load raw materials into machines and remove finished products
- Inspect machinery to identify potential maintenance concerns before equipment failure occurs
- Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and operational adjustments
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
- Follow all company safety policies and maintenance procedures
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of machine operating experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills is a plus but not required
- Experience working with manufacturing or production equipment
- Knowledge of maintaining production efficiency
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment
- Basic troubleshooting experience
- Previous experience in an industrial or production manufacturing environment
- Technical training or maintenance certifications are a plus
