About the Role
- We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Engineer/Developer to join a collaborative, high-performing technology team.
- In this role, you will design, develop, test, and support mainframe applications while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions from development through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, test, and debug mainframe applications.
- Perform code analysis, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and environment teams to promote code across development, testing, and production environments.
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.
- Participate in application maintenance, enhancements, and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing and debugging mainframe applications.
- 5+ years of COBOL development experience.
- Strong experience with:
- CICS
- COBOL
- DB2
- VSAM
- MQ
- JCL
- Experience with Endeavor Software Manager.
- Familiarity with DB2 utilities, File-AID, job schedulers, and debugging tools.
- Knowledge of secure file transfer processes (SFTP/AWX).
- Understanding of CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Preferred Skills
- CICS systems administration knowledge.
- Experience with Java and front-end technologies such as Angular.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
