Must Have P&C RataBase Experience
We are currently seeking a Software Development Specialist to join our team in Worcester, Massachusetts (US-MA), United States (US).
Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)
- Provide Technical solutions in Mainframe Technologies.
- Provide estimations for projects.
- Write detailed technical specifications.
- Review Code and QA Test plan and Test execution.
- Review and Propose changes to the Tech Design.
- Developing application by following Tech Design and Technical specification documents.
- Maintaining proper documentation for the work requests, change requests and defects.
- Create and maintain Implementation plan and support Release activities.
- Responsible to support the application for any Critical Production Issues.
- Subject Mater expert and Tech Lead in team.
- Provide Trainings to the Team in both Domain and Technology. Help reduce the Skill gaps in team.
Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required for this job with minimum years of experience on each)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience across the Mainframe
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in P&C insurance knowledge
Travel:
- This position does not require travel. Preferred location is Worcester, MA or East coast.
Degree:
- Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Nice to Have; (But not a must)
- Project lead experience
