Maker Program Coordinator
Champlain College is growing its Maker Program and seeking a Maker Program Coordinator to lead and expand maker experiences for students, faculty, and staff. The Maker Programpart of the Library ecosystem alongside the Production Equipment Rental Houseelevates the making and creative ways of knowing to help students at Champlain make the most of our experience-included curriculum. The Maker Program provides the Champlain community with access to a variety of hand, power, and electronic tools including 3D printers, laser cutters, a vinyl cutter, and sewing machines.
The Coordinator manages all aspects of the Maker Program, from leading workshops and tool trainings to maintaining equipment, supervising student employees, and collaborating with faculty to integrate maker experiences into the curriculum. This role also serves as the college's liaison to Generator, Burlington's community makerspace, coordinating shared access and preparing materials for campus use.
The ideal candidate is an experienced maker who is enthusiastic about student engagement and community building. They are comfortable leading hands-on instruction, troubleshooting equipment, and creating a welcoming, accessible environment for makers at every skill level.
