Duties

Provides for the coordination and completion of complex administrative and logistical support to a leased facility and interfaces with City of Topeka as well as local building owner on a variety of issues.

Collects, researches, and analyzes data, produces and disseminates information related to executive management and daily operations.

Researches and investigates business and management practices required for application in the department's programs and operations.

Analyzes new or proposed legislation or regulations to determine its impact on operations and management.

Documents program inconsistencies and/or anomalies and prepares management reports and recommendations to resolve issues.

Participates in discussions, meetings, conferences and conference calls with agency administrators, senior subject matter experts, technical personnel, and other federal agency officials to secure and provide information.

Investigates facts to develop and present conclusions, recommendations, and alternative courses of action for managers and supervisors.

Reviews and analyzes the execution of budget, management, administrative and personnel/manpower programs by conducting studies, reviewing reports and findings of studies.

Researches, investigates, and conducts comprehensive studies relating to the effectiveness and efficiency of major administrative and personnel management operations.

Conducts research of records, reports, existing contract requirements, operating regulations, and other pertinent information/data sources on procedures and operation.

Drafts and maintains standard operating procedures outlining various office functions and procedures.

Develops systems and dashboards to identify and analyze trends in human resources activities, i.e., Speed of Hire, location of hires, retirement and benefits analysis.

Coordinates complex and sensitive issues with external agencies.

Advises management officials (i.e., Directors, Deputy Directors, Associate Directors, and process owners) in defining project scope and priority and advises management officials in the decision-making process with the goal of optimizing resources given the demands of meeting customer requirements, reducing rework, determining operational capacity, and increasing quality.

Provides project status reports as required, which may include briefings to internal and external customers as well as all levels of management. Status briefings may be accomplished via video teleconference or in-person and may include presentation of slides, graphs, and other documentation.

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
