- Serve a permanent position to a financial institution.
- Manage the company’s private cloud platform, supporting cloud operation, security, and compliance to ensure high reliability and adherence to company policies, regulations, and audits.
- Lead a team of internal cloud staff and an external managed service vendor to develop, implement, enhance, support, and operate the private cloud platform and related infrastructure components based on user and business requirements and technology trends, including platform expansion, new application setups, and environment updates.
- Ensure the implementation and operation of the private cloud platform with proper technical and resource planning, aligning with platform clients or stakeholders for maintenance windows to meet target schedules for change management, evergreening, major upgrades, problem handling, and disaster drills.
- Provide technical support and advice to platform clients or application teams, including system environment troubleshooting, infrastructure support for applications, and response to technical and security inquiries regarding the cloud platform.
- Act as a technical expert to lead troubleshooting of incidents or technical issues on the cloud platform with vendor and internal support.
- Ensure all documentation, records, and procedures are updated regularly within proper timelines.
- Lead the implementation and execution of processes and standards to optimize cloud service usage, including DevOps and SysOps practices.
- Handle all operational and system maintenance renewals and new solution deployments with budgeting, request for proposal/quotation, and contract management, complying with internal procurement policy and procedure.
- Proactively review the private cloud environment and operations, suggesting improvement opportunities to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- University degree in information technology, computer science, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably from major financial institutions, with at least 5 years at managerial level.
- Strong experience in managing system infrastructure (virtualization, computing systems, storage, network, container, and Kubernetes), cloud management platforms, and DevOps automation tools.
- Excellent technical troubleshooting skills and experience in complex infrastructure or cloud platform environments.
- Extensive experience managing change, incident, problem, and release management processes for platforms, coordinating with multiple vendors and stakeholders, managing cross‑functional dependencies, setting quality standards, and enhancing existing practices.
- Experience and skills in designing and implementing automation for operations are highly desirable.
- Positive attitude and strong commitment to delivering quality work.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, presentation, documentation, and report‑writing skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for a junior position.
