Material Handler
Location: Billings, MT, US, 59101
Position Summary: The position is a support role for the production and warehouse with cutting raw material to size, staging and receiving upcoming work in the proper locations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Safety conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.
- Work with Production Scheduler, CNC Supervisor, Material Purchaser and Warehouse personnel to ensure the proper materials are identified, received and staged for saw work.
- Safely set up, operate and execute material cutting to print / cut slip requirements.
- Move material as necessary from receiving, storage and staging areas.
- Fully trained to operate the HydMech S23-A saw.
- Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
- Performs safe operation of forklifts, overhead cranes and lifting devices.
- Maintain / clean equipment and workspace and tooling and assist in maintaining consumable materials on hand necessary to perform job tasks.
- Assists when needed with other miscellaneous needs including but not limited to saw material movement / operation, shop waste removal, shop area organization, etc.
- Must maintain good attendance record and maintain the highest professional conduct.
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- Work experience and/or education in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required.
