Material Handler I
Sandersville, GA Full-Time On-Site Manufacturing
This is a hands-on role at the center of plant operations. As a Material Handler I, you'll be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of railcars, tank trucks, trailer trucks, and vans carrying raw materials and chemical products. You'll also play a key role in packaging and labeling finished goods making sure the right product gets to the right place, every time.

Load and unload railcars, tank trucks, trailers, totes, and drums of raw materials
Transfer and package finished products into totes, drums, or pails per customer orders; label and placard accordingly
Operate a forklift safely; perform daily forklift inspections
Pull and stage raw materials for production; assist in raw material make down
Support mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
Maintain plant and office housekeeping standards
Sign paperwork for outgoing shipments
Assist with end-of-month inventory counts
Participate in monthly safety meetings; wear required PPE at all times
Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies
Support the company's Quality Management System (QMS)
Obtain and maintain US DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation Certification
Perform additional duties as assigned by Production and Maintenance Supervisors
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and climb stairs
Ability to safely operate a forklift
Good verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Must pass company pre-employment physical and drug screen
Preferred
2+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or warehousing
