Material Handler Responsibilities:
- Package inbound material including assortment kit assembly using package labeling system and printers, automated packaging equipment, scales, tape guns, mechanical stapler, and shrink wrapping
- Document packing activity using radio frequency scanners and keyboard data entry
- Maintain stock of packaging supplies at packing stations
- Pick orders on floor level of warehouse using non-powered industrial equipment
- Perform cart put away on floor level of warehouse using non-powered industrial equipment
- Observe all safety regulations and promote safe working habits
- Maintain good housekeeping
Requirements for Material Handler:
- Able to stand / walk for entire shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
- Able to push/pull up to 100 lbs on occasion (team lift)
- Able to twist, bend, and stoop on a repetitive basis
- Able to learn internal software program and update inventory scanning devices and computers
- Able to learn to operate and safely utilize a variety of warehouse lift and product moving equipment
- Able to add and subtract
- Able to read and speak English and communicate with customers and coworkers
- Able to work as a team member and to work under specific instructions
