POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for moving material in & out of the workstations, storage & retrieval of material, and safe operation of a hi-lo.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Follows work instructions and oral direction to understand what material needs to be moved
2. Safely operates the hi-lo while moving material to support production in the work cell.
3. Stocks the work cell with required material and packaging to meet production needs.
4. Removes trash as needed, empties hoppers and cardboard containers.
5. Able to read part numbers and labels to correctly stock material.
6. Empties grinder on a regular basis and cleans grinder during a mold or color change.
7. Understands where recycling areas are located and uses as required, depending upon material.
8. Performs general housekeeping duties as required in work areas.
9. Assists in setup of workstation during a mold change or as required.
10. Responsible for maintaining ISO/TS16949:2002 compliance within the manufacturing discipline (material control, material handling).
11. Responsible for maintaining ISO14001:2004 compliance with the manufacturing discipline (material control, material handling)
12. Responsible for maintaining OSHA compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
2. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
3. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
4. Must have hi-lo certification
5. Has the responsibility to aid in the provision of a safe and clean work environment. This will be accomplished by participating in the safety process. Examples of participation would include, but not limited to conducting internal safety audits, investigation of accidents and communication of safety related information.

3. The employee will experience changes in temperature and humidity within the plant.
4. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
