Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for supporting warehouse operations by receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials while ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with quality and safety standards. This role requires working in various temperature-controlled environments and maintaining efficient order fulfillment to support manufacturing and customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, sort, count, store, and process materials for shipment and inventory.
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, quality, and documentation.
- Prepare and fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
- Safely operate warehouse and distribution equipment as required.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and follow established warehouse procedures.
- Work within ISO standards, Quality Policy, and company documentation requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient material flow and customer satisfaction.
- Complete all required client's training programs.
- Support additional warehouse activities as assigned.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0 2 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience.
- Experience in a life sciences or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Basic computer skills with ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently while meeting productivity goals.
- Strong attendance and reliability.
- Work in warehouse environments including room temperature, cold room (36 46 F), and freezer room (-4 to 23 F).
- Ability to continuously stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Routinely push and pull up to 50 lbs and climb as needed.
- Occasionally kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- May handle packaged hazardous materials.
- Must be flexible to work varying schedules, overtime, and occasional shift changes.
