Material Handler
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Material Handler in Nashua, NH for a temporary contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Material Handler will support inventory management, assembly kit preparation, material movement, cycle counts, physical inventories, computerized inventory reporting, and point-of-use material delivery for engineering and production programs. This 2nd shift role requires material handling experience, strong computer skills, Oracle experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of related material handling, inventory, warehouse, stockroom, or production support experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Strong computer skills.
- Basic PC application experience.
- Oracle experience.
- Ability to work from computerized reports.
- Ability to prepare and verify assembly kits using pick lists.
- Ability to select stock using first-in, first-out inventory practices.
- Ability to check and record solderability dates, vendor date codes, and issued quantities.
- Ability to support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory record audits.
- Ability to package, label, stock, and deliver materials according to handling requirements.
- Ability to follow safety, handling, and OSHA labeling requirements.
Preferred Skills
- iStar experience.
- Clean room experience.
- Experience handling small complex parts.
- Experience using special handling tools such as vacuum release stations, vacuum pick-up tools, microscopes, or electrostatic packaging materials.
- Experience supporting assembly floor, point-of-use material, WIP release, kitting, back-order fulfillment, or production material shortages.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and verify assembly kits to meet scheduled release dates.
- Pull stock using pick lists and FIFO inventory practices.
- Check and record solderability dates, vendor date codes, and issued quantities.
- Respond to material requests for engineering and production programs.
- Interface with materials and production teams to resolve shortages.
- Package or repackage materials according to special handling requirements.
- Use electrostatic bags or other required packaging as needed.
- Label and stock materials in assigned bins.
- Fill back-order requirements for assembly floor or kits in process.
- Deliver completed assembly kits and point-of-use materials to designated areas.
- Release materials to work-in-process as required.
- Perform cycle count audits and physical inventories.
- Audit inventory records and compare actual stock against recorded quantities.
- Ensure materials are properly identified with safety and handling labels.
Work Schedule / Shift
- 2nd shift.
- MondayThursday, typically 3:00 PM1:30 AM.
- 4/10 schedule.
- Overtime expected as needed.
- No travel required.
