Material Handler
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the Shipping / Receiving Department supporting operational efficiency and inventory management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Hamilton, OH
Pay Range: $19/hr
Shift: First shift hours: 6am-2pm (Monday-Thursday, overtime possible on Friday)
What's the Job?
- Locate and verify materials and supplies based on production orders
- Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies
- Operate material-handling equipment, including overhead cranes and dock locks
- Ensure proper flow of materials by weighing, counting, and inspecting containers
- Follow safety regulations, dispose of scrap, and maintain good housekeeping practices
What's Needed?
- Must have forklift experience and be able to obtain forklift operator certification
- High school diploma or GED preferred; basic reading, writing, and math skills required
- Ability to operate hand-held scanners and understand standard operating procedures
- Ability to read tape measures and understand part number systems
- Computer knowledge and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
