Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team for a significant construction project in Halifax. In this role, you will be responsible for moving heavy materials, such as doors and door frames, as well as managing inventory control. You will print material lists, collect, organize, and ensure that every product is accounted for throughout the project.
Responsibilities
+ Move and handle heavy materials including doors and door frames.
+ Print, collect, and organize material lists.
+ Receive and organize products for a large construction project.
+ Ensure all products are accounted for.
+ Navigate and use iPads for inventory tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Material handling and general labor experience.
+ Ability to lift 50lbs frequently.
+ At least 1 year of experience in a shipping and receiving role.
+ Comfortable with using Excel and Word.
+ Computer-savvy with proficiency in data entry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Forklift ticket - sit-down counterbalance and manual is nice to have.
+ Possession of PPE: Hard Hat with chin strap, High Visibility gear, and 6" steel toe boots.
+ Ability to work at both the Halifax site and Dartmouth branch.
+ Having a personal vehicle is an advantage.

Work Environment
The work schedule is likely Monday to Friday, with the possibility of extension beyond the project's duration. The worksite offers limited parking but is transit accessible. Employees will work both on-site in Halifax and occasionally at the Dartmouth branch.
