Material Handler 1st Shift
Location: Nashville Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m.4:30 p.m. Pay Rate: $18.00$20.00 per hour (DOE) Join a team where your leadership potential can shine! We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler with a strong interest in growth and advancement. What's a Typical Day as a Material Handler?
- Safely move, organize, and transport materials throughout the warehouse or production facility
- Load and unload shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy
- Supply production areas with necessary materials to support daily operations
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as required (certification preferred)
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Support inventory control, cycle counts, and material tracking
- Help achieve daily productivity and operational goals
- Offer guidance and direction to team members, assisting with workflow coordination and issue resolution
- Serve as a backup leader, assisting with training, coaching, and communicating priorities
This Job Might Be an Outstanding Fit If You:
- Have previous experience as a Material Handler in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
- Have served as a Team Lead, Lead Material Handler, or Supervisor (preferred)
- Are comfortable operating material handling equipment (forklift experience a plus)
- Possess strong organizational and communication skills
- Can work independently and lead by example
- Are able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be physically active for most of the shift
- Are committed to safety, quality, and teamwork
