Material Handler I
This is a Material Handler I role in Storage Control department with the work shift of Monday-Friday, 2:30pm.-11:00pm.

A Day in the Life:
- Receiving, examining, sorting, arranging, counting, storing, picking, and packing items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
- Preparing and filing routine documentation.
- Maintaining quality metrics.
- Operating material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, Forklift etc).
- Working in and out of a +4c walk-in Cold Room and -20c walk-in Freezer.
Education:
High School Diploma OR GED Required
Experience:
- No previous work experience required
- Preferred: Experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field
- Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)

- Ability to analyze and solve problems independently as well as collaboratively.
- Self-motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural, language and educational backgrounds.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Close vision and ability to adjust focus required.
- Regularly required to lift up to 20 pounds. May be required to lift weight of 45 pounds or more, with assistance and/or with equipment on occasion.
Compensation and Benefits:
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $12.56$18.84.
