Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our textile warehouse team. This position is responsible for the movement, storage, and handling of textile products and materials throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience and sit-down forklift experience, although forklift operation will only be required for a portion of the workday. This role also involves manual material handling, inventory support, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, move, and store textile materials and finished goods.
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently as needed.
- Transport materials between warehouse locations, production areas, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Assist with receiving and verifying incoming materials.
- Perform inventory counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
- Stack, palletize, wrap, and organize products in designated storage areas.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience required.
- Prior sit-down forklift experience required.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic math and inventory skills preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
