We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Engineer with a strong background in Materials Science and Technology to provide technical leadership in the development, validation and industrialization of special processes, with a particular focus on raw material production and processing. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring process robustness, supplier capability and product qualification in compliance with quality and HSE standards.
As Lead Materials Engineer, you will:
- Serve as subject matter expert for special processes, with primary accountability for processes related to raw material manufacturing and treatment.
- Lead the development, validation and continuous improvement of raw material special processes in accordance with industry and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and conduct supplier technical audits, with a strong focus on process capability, material traceability and compliance.
- Manage and execute product and process qualification activities, including first article inspections and validation reports.
- Act as a technical interface between engineering teams, suppliers and external stakeholders for raw material–related issues.
- Ensure full alignment with Quality Management Systems and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations, non‑conformances or material‑related issues.
Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold a Master degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy or a related field.
- Have proven experience in special processes, with deep expertise in raw material production processes (e.g., melting, forming, heat treatment, powder processing, chemical or physical treatments).
- Have strong technical knowledge of process qualifications, validation methodologies and supplier quality management.
- Demonstrate experience performing supplier audits and technical assessments.
- Have a solid understanding of Quality standards (e.g., ISO, AS/EN, customer‑specific requirements) and HSE regulations.
- Display clear analytical thinking, strong problem‑solving skills and an ability to manage complex technical tasks to completion.

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 43,599.34 to EUR 59,400.
