The IBM Maximo Developer will support MAS migration and software optimization projects by providing expert functional and technical guidance on Maximo solutions. This role involves close collaboration with IT subject matter experts, business stakeholders, implementation partners, and IBM support teams to ensure a stable and efficient Maximo platform for daily operations.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and support application solutions using Maximo 7.6.x and MAS.
- Lead MAS 8/9 migration projects, particularly from on-premises to cloud (SaaS).
- Utilize knowledge of Manage, Spatial, and Mobile modules within Maximo.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Provide production support, troubleshooting system performance, availability, and functionality issues.
- Work closely with client teams, implementation partners, and IBM support to meet project goals.
- Develop and share functional and business expertise with team members.
- Configure Maximo components such as Database Configuration, Escalations, Cron Tasks, Domains, and Conditional Expression Manager.
- Perform Java customizations and develop automation scripts.
- Integrate Maximo with external applications including SAP and Ariba.
- Collaborate with middleware and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
- Design and develop BIRT reports and write SQL scripts for business data extracts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical/business discipline or equivalent experience.
- 6 to 8 years of experience with Maximo Application Suite and related tools.
- Strong expertise in Maximo configurations and Java customizations.
- Experience with MAS migration, especially from on-premises to cloud environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2003/2008/2012) and operating system management.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, user rights management, security configurations, group policy, and backup systems.
- Technical skills in WebSphere application server.
- Experience with software debugging, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience integrating Maximo with SAP and Ariba.
- Knowledge of Manage, Spatial, and Mobile Maximo modules.
- Experience developing BIRT reports.
- Familiarity with middleware collaboration and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Experience working in cross-functional technology project teams.
- Ability to provide ongoing support and maintenance to ensure system stability.
- May require collaboration across multiple business areas and IT teams.
- Involvement with cloud migration projects and coordination with external vendors and support teams.
- Standard work schedule with potential for additional hours during migration or critical support periods.
- May require flexibility to coordinate with global teams and implementation partners.
