Job Description:
At DXC Technology Polska, we are looking for a Mid-Level Java Developer to join our specialized German-speaking Java team, in a flexible hybrid working model.
In this role, you will work on projects within the public, energy, automative, or other big sectors, developing customized software solutions together with our international teams. You will be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle: from technical design and implementation to the ongoing enhancement of existing solutions. You will collaborate closely with internal developers and customer architects to build sustainable, maintainable software architectures.
German language skills at a minimum C1 level are mandatory, along with good English communication skills.
Your responsibilities
Implementing functional and technical requirements in Java using existing and new frameworks
Developing technical solution concepts based on an understanding of customer-specific software architectures
Coordinating implementations with customer-side architects and internal stakeholders
Documenting solutions through code comments, technical proposals, and specifications in German and English, depending on the project context
Required skills and experience
At least 3 years of professional experience as a Java Developer, preferably in agile project environments
Solid knowledge of Java, JUnit, Git, relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle), and web technologies
Solid experience with Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate
Experience with architectures and frameworks such as JEE, JSF, PrimeFaces, JavaFX
Experience with the integration of frontends (e.g. React, Angular)
Initial experience or a strong interest in software architecture and technical design
Ability to work independently on work packages
Experience with requirements analysis and writing technical documentation
German language skills (minimum C1) and good English skills
Nice to have (but not required)
Knowledge of cryptographic methods, authentication and authorization mechanisms, MFA, and eID solutions (e.g. Keycloak, eIDAS, LDAP)
Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, SonarQube
Experience with APIs, including automated testing and the use of mockups or simulators
Exposure to data migration projects
Knowledge of additional programming languages
Automated testing experience using tools like Selenium, Jira XRay
Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
First experience working with public sector clients or authorities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another relevant field or
Equivalent professional experience and practical qualifications
