Key Responsibilities
- Provide process design support through the engineering phases PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front‑end engineering and detailed design.
- Develop, improve and promote the effective use of operations systems (i.e. JDE, SPRS, Synergy, Aconex, SMS, Dochub).
- Troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
- Develop process flow sheets and prepare process design criteria.
- Prepare process calculations, PFDs, heat & material balances and P&IDs.
- Size process equipment and develop specifications.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Will be up-to-date with advancements in mining processing technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes.
- Additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Disciplines)
- Will have 5 - 10 years of process engineering design experience
- Must have Professional Engineering designation (EGBC preferably).
- Prior experience in an engineering / consulting firm is required
- In depth knowledge of process engineering, equipment, and technologies
- Chemical and mineral processing experience is highly desired.
- Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills
- Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
Salary Range
$105K - $135K
