What You Will Be Doing

As the successful candidate, you will play a key role in supporting safe and efficient blasting operations across site. Your responsibilities will include safely operating and maintaining Mobile Processing Units, manufacturing and delivering bulk explosives to specification, and loading blast holes while assisting with charging activities. You will conduct pre-start inspections, perform basic equipment maintenance, and complete all required operational and safety documentation. Working closely with Shotfirers, Supervisors, and other site personnel, you will help coordinate daily activities while ensuring strict compliance with all site safety procedures and regulatory requirements. You will also assist with magazine management and explosives handling as required, maintain a high standard of housekeeping and equipment presentation, and actively participate in toolbox meetings and safety initiatives to promote a strong safety culture.

What You Will Need

  • Current Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC) and Security Clearance Card
  • Current HR (Heavy Rigid) Driver's Licence
  • Previous experience operating Mobile Processing Units (MPUs) within the mining or explosives industry
  • A strong commitment to safety and adherence to site procedures
  • The ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with a range of site personnel
  • A mostly clear National Police Clearance (NPC), suitable for site access requirements
  • A reliable work ethic with the ability to work in a physically demanding environment
