On behalf of a leading medical technology company, we are looking for a Model-Based Systems Engineer to join an MBSE competence group of approx. 15 specialists within a central Innovation Engineering function at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will apply established MBSE methods in projects across the client's different business units and deliver high-quality system and subsystem models that meet user and business requirements. You will manage complexity within your own scope and work closely with senior systems engineers and architects.
Projects can cover every phase of the product life cycle – from development, manufacturing and market deployment through operation and maintenance to phase-out. Alongside project work, you will help deploy MBSE capability across the global organisation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Create and maintain SysML structure, behaviour, requirements and parametric models with full traceability
• Safeguard model quality through modelling conventions, validation and reviews
• Apply existing MetaModel/DataModel definitions and propose improvements under the guidance of senior colleagues
• Contribute feedback to standards, templates and guidelines
• Support onboarding and coaching sessions, and share best practices across teams
• Build a network across the high-tech industry through external engagement with other companies
WHAT YOU BRING
• 4–7 years of experience in an R&D environment, including experience in a regulated environment – medical devices strongly preferred
• A solid Systems Engineering foundation with hands-on experience in requirements engineering, risk management and design control
• Practical MBSE experience at model-author level with tooling such as Cameo Systems Modeler or MagicDraw
• Familiarity with basic customisations – structured expressions, simple validation rules, profiles; scripting is a plus
• BSc/MSc in Software, Systems, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field
• Strong communication skills and the ability to operate at different levels of architectural detail, with a hands-on mentality
• Fluent in English
• Currently living in the Netherlands (no relocation for this role)
WHAT WE OFFER
• A salary between € 5,700 and € 6,500 gross per month based on 40 hours, depending on knowledge and experience
• A long-term assignment at one of the leading medical technology companies in the Brainport region
• A specialist MBSE community of approx. 15 professionals to learn from
