Role - Senior MuleSoft ESB Developer Location - Edison NJ hybrid role Job Type- W2 Contract Role Job description Below Job Summary We are looking for a highly experienced Senior MuleSoft ESB Developer with strong expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Mule 4.x, API development, enterprise integrations, and middleware technologies . The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting integration solutions across enterprise applications, along with exposure to Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and messaging systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy integration applications using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Mule ESB 4.x .
  • Build and manage RESTful APIs and integration services using API-led connectivity principles.
  • Develop API specifications using RAML and implement APIs using APIKit Router .
  • Create integration flows, sub-flows, batch processes, exception handling, and orchestration logic.
  • Perform data transformation using DataWeave 2.0 and XML technologies such as XSD, XSLT, XPath, SOAP, and WSDL.
  • Integrate enterprise systems using connectors such as HTTP, DB, JMS, FTP, SFTP, File, and Salesforce connectors .
  • Deploy and manage applications on CloudHub / Anypoint Runtime Manager .
  • Implement API security using Basic Authentication, OAuth 2.0, and related security policies .
  • Develop and execute MUnit test cases and support integration testing using SoapUI and Postman.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and offshore/onshore stakeholders.
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot integration issues, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Platform, API Manager, Exchange, Design Center, and Runtime Manager .
  • Hands-on expertise in Mule ESB 4.x , API Management, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, RAML, JSON, XML, XSD, XSLT, and WSDL .
  • Experience with DataWeave 2.0 transformations.
  • Solid understanding of JMS, messaging systems, asynchronous processing, and SOA architecture .
  • Good programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices .
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server including SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with Git, SVN, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and container-based deployments (OpenShift/Kubernetes preferred) .
  • Excellent debugging, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
