Lead Software Developer for Benchmark Gensuite’s Platform Applications and Components team.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Developer to provide technical leadership and hands‑on development across frontend and backend. Core responsibilities include troubleshooting, performance optimization, architecture discussions, and release management to ensure efficient, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide the team in the development and maintenance of JavaScript‑based application frameworks and components.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and components.
- Optimize performance, improving speed, scalability, and reliability of application frameworks.
- Stay updated with latest trends and best practices in the core technology stack, recommending and implementing improvements.
- Mentor and train junior team members, sharing expertise to support their growth.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions, providing technical insights and recommendations.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and release notes.
- Assist in planning and executing software releases for a smooth deployment process.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure quality standards are met and perform thorough testing.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–3 years of experience as a Software Engineer focused on web development frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Hands‑on experience in troubleshooting and optimizing performance of complex web applications.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills for effective cross‑functional collaboration.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies and best practices.
- Experience integrating application frameworks with various backend systems and services.
- Proficient in English (oral and written).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
