Your Role and Impact Independently design, develop and validate CNC programs for a range of metal cutting machine tools. Accountable for CNC program safety, quality, OTD and process efficiency. Be tasked with production support such as machine and process trouble shooting.
Key Responsibilities Support NC Programming team operations and contribute to daily programming activities. Create CNC programs using Esprit CAM software by interpreting engineering drawings, symbols, sections, detail views, and GD&T requirements. Utilize CAD/CAM technology to develop toolpath models and CNC programs for machining operations. Coordinate with engineering teams and internal stakeholders to process jobs and support successful job rollouts. Ensure and coordinate CNC program storage and handling within the server environment. Select appropriate tooling, machining processes, and programming methods based on manufacturing requirements. Support cross-machine and cross-region programming activities by adapting programs to different machine types and regional standards. Monitor performance against individual and team metrics while ensuring on-time customer delivery. Drive continuous improvement (CIP) to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall process effectiveness. Maintain accurate records, including time reporting, programming documentation, and Excel-based tracking tools. Recommend design or drawing modifications to improve manufacturability when appropriate. Participate in committees, portfolios, special projects, and other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Technical Certification in CNC Programming Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related. Intermediate English proficiency. 5–7 years of relevant experience in CNC programming, manufacturing, or machining environments. Experience with Esprit CAM software. Basic knowledge of CNC machining, programming concepts, machine codes, and programming languages. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, component drawings, and GD&T symbols. Knowledge of milling processes and their application in manufacturing. Understanding of imperial measurements (inches). Experience using computers in a manufacturing environment, including file management, navigation of network drives, and basic troubleshooting. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including creating, editing, and maintaining spreadsheets. Basic understanding of shop floor practices and manufacturing processes. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Auto CAD or similar CAD applications. Experience programming for lathe and/or drilling operations. Experience working with Mazak Integrex machines. Data analysis skills and engineering-related knowledge. Ability to manage and correct manufacturing routes, work orders, and related system transactions (e.g., PRMS).
