Job Description
This is a 6-month contract opportunity for a Senior Software Developer based in Guelph, Ontario (hybrid – 3 days onsite per week). The organization delivers high-impact digital services at scale. You’ll be working across a modern technology stack including .NET / .NET Core, C#, Angular/React, and Azure, contributing to systems used by hundreds of thousands of users annually.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of meaningful systems and operate as a senior technical voice on the team. You’ll lead design discussions, mentor other developers, and work across both backend and frontend systems while contributing to a mature DevOps environment with CI/CD and cloud-native infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience building custom software solutions
- Strong proficiency in .NET / .NET Core and C#
- Experience with Entity Framework, Web API, and MVC
- Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular or React)
- Proficiency with MS SQL and relational databases
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- Experience leading features or owning components of a codebase
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, SASS, LESS)
- Experience building and maintaining test suites (unit/integration)
- Prior experience mentoring or leading developers
- Experience working in Agile environments

Contract Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension), offering $45-$55/hr + HST
