WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORIT Security & Network Engineer | SpaceJoin our client’s international team in Rome (Anagnina Area), supporting hands-on IT security operations for major European space programmes. The company is a long-standing partner of space institutions, contributing to secure, compliant and high-performance IT infrastructures that support scientific, operational and administrative systems.We are looking for a motivated IT Security & Network Engineer with practical experience in infrastructure and network security, ready to work in a structured, multicultural and mission-critical environment.Please note that candidates based far from the Rome area will need to relocate in order to work onsite.A B2 level of English is required due to regular interactions with European stakeholders and documentation in English.YOUR TASKSIn this role, you will work on the operational implementation of security controls across IT infrastructures used in European space programmes. Performing hands-on security administration across network devices, firewalls, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).Contributing to the configuration and maintenance of security controls (firewalls, access rules, segmentation, hardening measures).Supporting access management and technical security control implementation across systems and applications.Supporting the continuous improvement of IT security processes and controls through practical implementation.Participating in risk assessments from a technical perspective, identifying gaps and proposing corrective measures.Supporting PoCs (Proof of Concepts) for new security solutions or tools, in collaboration with senior experts.YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE1-4+ years of hands-on experience in IT Security, Cybersecurity, or infrastructure/system administration with a strong security focus.Practical experience with network security and firewall configuration (rules, policies, segmentation).Good understanding of IT security principles, policies and best practices, combined with operational application.Experience with Windows and/or Linux security administration.Solid knowledge of network security, firewalls, segmentation and access control mechanisms.Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week, the rest from home + flexibility based on operational needsEnvironment: International, structured, security-focused environment supporting European space programmesStart: ASAPEligibility:EU Citizens, orNon-EU Citizens already based in the EU with a valid work permitOnce we receive your CV, we will take the time to evaluate it carefully.
