We currently have a contract role as a Senior Network Security Engineer with our large consulting client on a long‑term project with a major financial services client in the downtown Montreal area.
Role: Senior Network Security Engineer
Type: Fulltime, Perm
Location: Downtown Montreal, QC - Hybrid (roles starts off 5 days in office for 1st 3 months, then turns into hybrid setup 3 days onsite, 2 days from home)
Salary: $85,000 - $95, 000 + bonus + 3 weeks paid vacation + RRSP contribution + benefits + sick/personal days
Responsibilities
- Operate and support network security infrastructure, including firewalls, web proxies, VPN gateways, and load balancers
- Lead and deliver network security projects
- Provide on‑call support
Requirements
- CCNP or CCIE (Security or Enterprise)
- Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Check Point certifications
- CISSP or equivalent security certification
- Bilingual (English and French)
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in network and network security engineering, including operational support and project delivery
- IT service management certifications (e.g., ITIL)
