Responsibilities :
- Advanced English level - Mandatory.
- Design and implement scalable backend systems, including high-throughput event processing and data pipelines.
- Define and uphold best practices for performance, scalability, and backend architecture.
- Optimize performance across distributed systems and ensure efficient resource usage.
- Iteratively enhance the product with the team for speed and reliability.
- Explore new product opportunities based on user and market understanding.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to deploy scalable AI models in production.
- Implement robust security practices and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
- Work with DevOps to streamline deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Working hours - overlap with EST.
Requirements :
- 4+ years of experience building scalable and performant backend systems capable of handling high-throughput workloads.
- Strong experience with backend technologies, ideally Node.js/TypeScript (Python is a plus). :
- Experience in PostgreSQL and designing data models (SQL & NoSQL) .
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Good understanding of the cloud is important, especially for AWS (GCP and Azure are less relevant).
- Experience designing and implementing high-performance APIs and data-intensive systems.
- Experience developing and maintaining integrations with enterprise platforms and third-party APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex distributed systems.
- Experience developing browser extensions is a plus. :
- Experience in an Agile environment is a plus. :
- Experience with Terraform and CI/CD is a big plus.
Preferred skills :
- Expertise in event-driven architectures and stream processing at scale.
- Deep knowledge of distributed caching, load balancing, and fault tolerance.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration and service mesh technologies.
- Familiarity with high-scale event processing systems, as well as vector and graph databases.
- Experience optimizing database performance and implementing efficient data access patterns.
- Track record of architectural decisions that led to successful system scaling.
- Hands-on knowledge of DevOps & managing modern architectures across public cloud and enterprise environments.
- Experience with AI, Machine Learning, NLP, and computer vision.
- Experience with deep learning / reinforcement learning is a plus.
