Operations Controller

We are looking for an Operations Controller to join an industry-leading organization to lead key financial efforts. This role will focus on providing financial planning, debt financing, and budget management for this company with 300+ million dollars in total revenue. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze, understand, and continually improve all accounting procedures for this operation. This will be a hybrid working environment moving forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial assets and safekeeping of the company's material assets.
  • Identify problems, provide optional courses of action, and identify likely outcomes.
  • Monitor & account for the flow of investment capital from the parent company into a subsidiary
  • Present monthly, quarterly, and annual results in particular balance sheets and P&L accounts.
  • May prepare and submit sales tax returns and works with corporate headquarters on income tax returns and other statistical returns.
  • Adapt and develop accounting procedures and policies to keep up with the company needs and requirements of the group.
  • Manage investment requests, and ensures proper control over cash and investments.
  • Plan and develops an efficient and effective financial accounting system including general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, and planning and budgeting.
  • Design and implement a system of internal control.
  • Make proposals for efficiency and profit improvements.
  • Ensure the coordination standards and the financial policy/principles are adhered to.
  • Analyze every aspect of company activities and identifies economic weaknesses, prepare reports that will serve as a basis for improving earnings and for reducing risks, and supervise the execution of such plans.
  • Arrange and control periodic physical inventories.
  • Prepare reports, which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Manage budget preparation/proposals, & prepare supporting documentation & justification.
  • Assist with audits of the company's accounts.
  • Manage month-end closing processes and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Advanced degree is a plus
  • 4+ years of related experience
  • 2+ years of Manufacturing exposure
  • Experience with Cost Accounting is preferred
