Overview
On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking an Oracle Forms/PL/SQL Developer.
Responsibilities
- Review and remediate PL/SQL logic and Oracle Forms components impacted by the encoding conversion
- Update triggers, stored procedures, and validation rules to support multi-byte character handling
- Support the DBA in interpreting conversion impacts on application logic
- Execute testing and validation of core system functionality post-conversion
- Identify and resolve issues related to character handling, validation, and data processing
- Develop and execute test scenarios for various edge cases including multilingual and non-standard name formats
- Document findings, risks, and recommended remediation steps
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Oracle Forms and PL/SQL in enterprise environments
- Experience troubleshooting complex application logic in legacy systems
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate poorly documented systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Government/public sector experience – core government experience is a strong asset, but not mandatory
- Experience supporting database conversion or modernization initiatives
- Familiarity with integrated systems and data flows across multiple applications
