Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to support the Finman Global Sub-ledger platform within Enterprise Finance Technology. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL, database performance tuning, and object-oriented design and a proven ability to deliver enhancements, troubleshoot production components, and collaborate across teams to meet business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop enhancements and architectural improvements for the Finman sub-ledger system.
- Troubleshoot, support, and optimize PL/SQL and related components periodically.
- Collaborate with Finance Technology development teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Work with Product Owners and business analysts to refine stories and obtain sign-off.
- Contribute to application design, regression test automation, and efficiency initiatives.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and follow best practices and team standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in Oracle 12c or above with strong PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages.
- SQL performance tuning and OLTP database design experience.
- Good object-oriented design skills, patterns, and architectural understanding.
- Strong communication skills with experience collaborating on global teams.
- Ownership mindset with ability to drive issues to completion and communicate status.
- Experience with regression test automation or related quality practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Python, including Quartz Python, and Linux or UNIX experience.
- C#/.NET with Microsoft Visual Studio, including Windows application development.
- Git/Bitbucket and automated testing tools.
- Agile/Scrum methodologies and Lean software development practices.
- Investment banking domain exposure, front or back office.
- Working knowledge of accounting, corporate GL structures, and flows.
