Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in database development, performance tuning, and writing efficient PL/SQL code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design database solutions
- Handle data migration, ETL processes, and batch job scheduling
- Prepare technical documentation for database processes and solutions
- Support production issues and provide root cause analysis
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development
- Strong knowledge of SQL query optimization and performance tuning
- Experience with Oracle database (11g/12c/19c or higher)
- Proficiency in writing stored procedures, functions, packages, cursors, and triggers
- Familiarity with indexing, partitioning, and execution plans
- Experience with version control tools (Git/SVN)
- Good understanding of data modeling and normalization concepts
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting is a plus
- Exposure to ETL tools or ODI is an added advantage
Good to Have:
- Experience with Oracle APEX
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for database deployments
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
