We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle/SQL Developer to design, develop, optimize, and support enterprise database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle databases, PL/SQL development, SQL performance tuning, data integration, and database design.
The successful candidate will work closely with application developers, business analysts, data teams, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performing database solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle database solutions and applications.
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and complex SQL queries.
- Perform SQL query optimization, execution-plan analysis, indexing, and database performance tuning.
- Develop database objects, schemas, tables, views, materialized views, and stored procedures.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
- Troubleshoot database issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
- Support data integration and ETL processes across enterprise systems.
- Work with development teams to improve application and database performance.
- Participate in database design, data modeling, and application architecture discussions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, data models, and database standards.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development and database best practices.
- Support production deployments, releases, and incident resolution as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance.
- 10+ years of experience in Oracle database development and SQL programming.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Expertise in developing stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors, and complex queries.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.
- Experience analyzing SQL execution plans and resolving performance issues.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, and data modeling.
- Experience with database development tools such as Oracle SQL Developer.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets in enterprise environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
