JOB TITLE: Orderly
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Orderly needed to assist medical and/or nursing staff with various routine tasks. Duties may include transporting patients, personal care, gathering or moving equipment/supplies, changing lines, and cleaning equipment in a fast pace surgical center environment.
REQUIREMENTS: CNA preferred and Bilingual (Spanish) speaking a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic understanding of infection control principles
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
Effective teamwork and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull patients and equipment (with assistance and/or mechanical devices).
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move quickly between locations.
Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for safe patient transport and environmental awareness.
Work Environment
Exposure to blood, body fluids, and regulated medical waste.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.
Exposure to surgical and anesthesia environments.
Requires use of required PPE.
