Patternmaker B (Entry Level CNC Operator)
The Patternmaker B (Entry Level CNC Operator) performs machine and bench operations to construct, alter and repair patterns, coreboxes, and fixtures with limited detail and skill requirement.
What You'll Do:
- Complete a safety inspection of assigned equipment prior to operation
- Complete projects from blueprints, sketches, specifications, and written instructions with limited supervision
- Calculate draft and shrink allowances per requirements; Select and layout materials
- Must set up and operate CNC machines in order to make pattern components
- Assemble and finish bench work to assure that dimensions, contours, profiles, parting, and core locations are maintained
- Audit and verify the accuracy of all work completed and prepare for inspection and verification
- Be certified and authorized in Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner
- Participate in area continuous improvement efforts including Employee Involvement activities
- Perform other duties as directed

What We Need from You:
- Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member
- High school diploma or equivalent with over one-year experience preferred
- Requires advanced shop math, complicated drawings and formulas, variety of precision measuring instruments
- Considerable judgment to plan, layout and perform difficult work with concentrated mental and visual attention
- Moderate physical exertion with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE
- Exhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all times
- Extend treatment to all employees as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers
- Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail
- Exercise maximum care to protect the environment supporting responsible operating procedures
- Personal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines
