Notes:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing/Performance Engineering
- Strong experience designing and executing load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing to validate application performance and production readiness
- Experience analyzing test results, identifying performance bottlenecks, performing root cause analysis, and recommending performance improvements
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated performance test scripts using NeoLoad (or similar) and JavaScript
- Experience with performance monitoring and observability tools such as Azure App Insights, Splunk, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of performance metrics, workload modeling, performance baselines, and SLAs
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Postman, Agile methodologies, SDLC/STLC, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong technical troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- WireMock/service virtualization and functional testing (SDET) experience are a plus
A financial services organization is seeking a Performance Test Engineer to support the delivery of high-performing web and mobile applications. This hybrid role focuses on performance testing, automation, and analysis to help ensure scalability, reliability, and production readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute end-to-end performance test strategies, plans, scripts, and scenarios
- Perform load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing to validate application performance and production readiness
- Build, maintain, and enhance automated performance testing frameworks and scripts
- Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks, system constraints, and optimization opportunities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support performance testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing or performance engineering
- Experience designing and executing load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing
- Experience building and maintaining automated performance test scripts using JavaScript or a similar scripting language
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as NeoLoad or comparable platforms
- Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Azure App Insights or Splunk
- Experience with Azure DevOps or a similar test management platform
- Experience with Postman
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience with WireMock or other service virtualization tools
- Understanding of functional testing
- Experience working within distributed microservices and cloud-native architectures
