Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using PHP (Laravel preferred)
- Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless integration across systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with best practices
- Manage and optimise MySQL databases, including schema design and performance tuning
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement scalable improvements
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education: Relevant degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years of professional PHP development experience
- Strong experience with Laravel or similar frameworks
- Solid understanding of OOP principles and MVC architecture
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MySQL or similar relational databases (query optimisation, schema design)
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and XML
- Version control experience using Git
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices
- Familiarity with Docker or containerised environments
- Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies is advantageous
