We are looking for a skilled PHP developer who will work closely with both our customer service and development teams. You will split your time between supporting customers in implementing key integrations and developing new features that enhance the product and user experience.
Key Responsibilities Customer-Facing Technical Support Lead technical onboarding and integration calls with customers and their IT teams — covering Single Sign-On (SAML 2.0), course data mapping, EAB data exports, Salesforce integrations, and Microsoft Teams setup. Serve as the primary technical resource for the customer success team, handling escalated questions and proactively follow up with customers through multi-exchange correspondence until integrations are fully completed. Conduct training sessions with administrators to walk through new features and integration workflows. Respond to data security audits and share backend technical details with prospective customers during onboarding. Produce clear documentation and instructional materials to support customer self‑service. Product Development Work with our customer success team to scope, prioritize, and deliver high-impact product features driven by customer feedback. Participate in feature scoping meetings — translating customer needs into development plans, flagging constraints early, and contributing to sprint planning. Build and iterate on features using our PHP/Laravel stack, collaborating closely with our CTO who focuses on infrastructure and larger architectural work. Maintain, refactor, and improve our legacy PHP codebase — improving performance, reducing technical debt, and ensuring long-term sustainability. Identify and remediate bugs as they arise. Desired Skills & Qualifications PHP & Laravel: Deep, hands‑on experience building and maintaining PHP applications; comfort with modern Laravel on top of a legacy stack. My SQL Databases: Solid experience designing, querying, and optimising relational databases. Legacy Codebases: Proven ability to maintain, refactor, and upgrade legacy codebases — improving efficiency without breaking what works. Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with Digital Ocean and/or AWS environments; comfort deploying and troubleshooting in cloud‑hosted setups. Integration Knowledge: Working knowledge of SAML 2.0 / SSO protocols; experience with third‑party integrations (EAB, Salesforce, or similar) a plus. Communication: Strong written and verbal skills — you'll be on calls with university administrators and IT teams regularly. Clear, patient, and confident communication is essential. Autonomy & Structure: Comfortable owning a feature from scoping to delivery; experience with sprint‑based workflows (Kanban, Jira, or similar) preferred. #J-18808-LjbffrBy continuing you agree to our Terms & Privacy Policy.
