PHP Developer, you will join a self-sufficient, high-performing engineering pod.
Your mission is two-fold: sustain and support current enterprise platforms, and lead the evolutionary charge by modernizing legacy tech stacks into scalable, cost-effective microservices architectures.
Your Key Responsibilities
Codebase Modernization: Drive the migration of legacy backend code into standard, maintainable, and cost-effective frameworks.
Architecture & Feature Delivery: Design, build, and deploy efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules for critical new products and feature sets.
Performance Optimization: Solve complex performance problems, eliminate architectural bottlenecks, and optimize cloud hosting costs.
AI-Driven Velocity: Actively leverage AI-assisted development tools (like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot) to boost team velocity and delivery standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with co-developers and product owners, providing regular updates and following industry best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Technical Requirements:
PHP Expertise: 5+ years of proven commercial software development experience in PHP.
Modern Architecture: Deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), MVC architecture, and common design patterns.
Web Stack Ecosystem: Demonstrable knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
Data & Tooling: Strong proficiency with relational databases, database migrations, web services (APIs), and version control tools (Git).
AI Tooling: Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to optimize daily workflows.
Soft Skills & Mindset:
Ownership & Strategy: A self-driven, ownership-oriented mindset with the ability to think strategically about long-term product lifecycles.
Communication: Advanced/Proficient English with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills, balancing both leadership and followership dynamics seamlessly within cross-functional teams.
